So I took it to the dunes and it ran pretty good for about 30minutes then it started sputtering on the top end. Checked the main jet it was a 185 pilot was 58 plug was black and wet.. So I dropped to a 175 52 and a new plug. Took it back out did the same thing ran much better for about 20 minutes then the top end started crapping out again, plug dark but dry.Dropped the needle from a dgh to a cej 3rd clip. Same thing but it’s improving a little. Not sure if I should drop another size in the main or what. Carlos says it might be something else going on.

I've had similar symptoms with seemingly rich jetting, but no amount of jetting fixes it. I know that my Kawasaki ignitions aren't known for reliability, but 40 years old is a long time to live even for a Honda! Do you have a spare CDI or stator you could swap and try?
Try a new coil.

Nope still rich. But i literally just replaced the entire ignition and electrical put it all back to OEM. Got some V force 3 reeds as well going to try it next week. Now if that doesn’t fix the problem then I honestly have no freaking idea at this point what it could be. Runs great when the engine is cold but once it warms up it’s sputters and goes super rich. Hopefully replacing the electrical will take care of it.
