    metal tack strips?

    I asked about the atcheaven fiberglass seat pans and how to attach the covers.

    looking at upholstery tack strips. thought is to rivet these to the inside of the pan. I've got a rusty 185 pan that I figerglassed, im going to rivet these to the underside. jim

    not the greatest pic, cover should be here this week. will report back on how the strips work. I think these would be great on a fiberglass seat pan. jim

    Excellent idea. When I did my 185s seat I broke a couple of those tabs off. It's time for a recover and I'm going to order some of those strips. Thanks for sharing that!

    Bigfootbikesandbrews, just did a video on this, he cut up real carpet metal tack strips, pop riveted them on to his OE pan and attached his cover.
    You could do the same with a plastic, fiberglass or rusted metal pans.
