I did a bit of research before joining the forum and wanted to see if I was missing anything obvious. Will be following these steps this evening:
1) Adjust clutch
2) Open crankcase cover and look for anything broken/missing on clutch assembly
3) Maybe replace clutch?
Is there anything else I should try/check?
Also what's the lever on the side that has L and H with arrows?
That is a low and high range sub-transmission. It gives you slow gears for climbing hills and working. Gives high gears for more speed on flat ground.
If I had to guess I would say there is damage to the shifting forks , gears, or shift drum. I hope you find it just needs a clutch adjustment.
Put your butt on the inside fender or end up on the ground!
