    200ES Case Bearing Spinning

I recently replaced my left case half due to a crack in the timing chain tensioner area. When I originally split the cases, I did not need a case splitter as it pretty much just popped off. The bearing stayed with the crank. After reassembly with the new "used" case half, the crank bearing spins in the case. I see no evidence of scoring on the old case where that bearing sat which would indicate the outer race spinning. Is it normal for the outer race to spin? Every other bearing I have ever installed was tight fit but not sure about this one. It came apart easily and went together easily.
