Sure, what year X will matter, but since you're asking about the piston and rings, you'll have to tear it down anyway. There's no telling what's been done to it and the condition of the cylinder.
If it's been bored before or the cylinder is in need or a serious oversize due to wear, maybe even a new liner, you won't know until it's torn down.
Never, never, never order things like pistons until the machinist says what you need. Even low hour engines can have an out of shape cylinder. One that's been rode hard and put up wet is going to be a giant, disappointing money pit if not done thoughtfully and thoroughly.
