84 200ES. Little to no spark.

Good evening. Been working on a 84 200ES. I have tested the stator, pulse generator, and coil. I even checked all the pins in the plug for CDI box. All test ok. Now for the issue. I can check spark and as soon as the engine turns over I get 1 spark and nothing after that. I can wait a few seconds, check spark, and same result. I’m thinking the CDI box is bad. Would like to hear opinions on this.

Possibly will be looking for a cdi box for this. If anyone has a 969 box they are selling, let me know. Also still looking for a gas tank for a 85 200x and an exhaust.

Sounds like the CDI box. Get the real thing, no ebay, amazon, etc. Been there and tried several snake oil remedies on line, they don't work. Get a new 969 box $$

check the reverse start inhibitor relay you can test this, disconnect the gray wire are the cdi plug, then see if you have consistent spark.
