    Engine swap Honda 200ES

Hi all so I'm new to this but is there a possibility that I could swap my Honda 200ES motor with a different motor from another bike? It's blowing blue smoke when revving but stops smoking when idling. Not sure whats wrong other than a possible oil burning. Is it worth rebuilding? Compression is out standing when warm so...not sure.

    Welcome to 3WW!

As to your question, an engine swap in a 200ES is going to be a pretty steep mountain to climb. It's configuration of being a shaft drive hard tail is unique into itself so there won't be any other engine from a different model that will be anything near a bolt in swap.

    Yes, it is worth rebuilding.

You state it to have outstanding compression, but you can have good compression and still burn oil due to worn oil ring and/or cylinder bore.

I would look into a rebuild with a new piston oversized by one step with the cylinder bored to match using correct specs for piston to cylinder clearance. Also it would be a good idea to freshen up the head with a valve and valve seat job and new valve seals.

If the rebuild is done right you will have an engine that runs like new.

rebuild it. anyone thinking swapping another 40 year old motor is wasting time. Send head out get redone. sent cylinder to get bored, 90% the bottom end is good and and might need some clutch fibers. These things never made power so its hard to kill them, just change oil often. Rebuild might cost $500. Not much really.
