1985 atc trans problem.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a little help. I have a 1985 200x that slips out of 5th gear at half to full throttle. When it slips out of gear you can kind of feel the shifter move a little. All other gears are fine. I am going to be working on this project this winter, looking forward to riding this spring with a trans that stays in 5th gear. Any tips on what to look for as the problem would be great. Thanks, great site. Long live the three wheelers.

Look for wear on the shift fork pads , you will have to replace every gear related to a bad shift fork .
