82 Honda 185s rear sprocket removal

How does the rear sprocket come off ? 4 Bolts just spin and can't get behind it with a wrench. Easiest way to upload a pic as every time i try it fails...

To be clear, does it still have the original style sprocket, which is sandwiched between two stamped plates that also hold the damping rubbers?

It looks like the four bolts holding the assembly on aren't pressed into the axle flange, like later models. That means you'll have to get to the back and hold the heads with a wrench, which may also mean you'll have to remove the axle nuts and move the axle over to access.

If it still has the original setup and not a solid piece sprocket (aftermarket), you'll want to inspect all of the parts really well. That design has a lot of wear points and potential for slop, which makes proper and consistent chain tension impossible.

OK. Anyone know what size the shaft is that the front sprocket hooks to is ? The 6 squared nubs that the sprocket goes on ?
