    1983 Honda 185s - Handle Bar Removal

Hello, new member here. I have a question about my 1983 Honda 185s and trying to remove my bent handle bars. This may be a silly question, but I cannot figure out how to remove the black plastic "Honda" cover that sits atop where the handle bars are secured. It does not sit securely on the bar (can be moved around little by hand) and I've looked at it from all angles for fasteners or screws. Even tried a gentle persuasion with a mallet, however not too hard. Am I missing something here? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Use a small screw driver to pop out the plate in the middle that says "Honda".
Be careful because these can break and are not easy to find a replacement.
There are 2 screws underneath the honda plate.
    Remove those 2 screws.
Then push on the cover from the bottom upwards.
    It should pop off.
Put your butt on the inside fender or end up on the ground!

Appreciate the heads up. I didn’t think to examine the center piece more carefully. I will be sure to use care prying off the cap. Thanks again!!
