    85 250es issues

I’m having issues with this rig! I have cleaned the carb twice in my ultrasonic cleaner. It’s spotless! I have rebuilt the carb with 2 different kits. The second being 223cycles. I bought the choke rebuild kit from 223 also. It is still running rich. I’m stumped. And getting very ill with it. It idles fine but when you rev it it’s like the choke is on. I have a video of it running that I can send to anyone if you want to see what I’m talking about.

I have rebuilt hundreds of these carburetors threw my shop and yes they are a pain in the ass .
In my opinion a shindy kit or OEM is the only way to go .
    Make sure it’s for a 1985 model , 86 is different .
I believe there’s a rubber plug that blocks off the choke circuit from flooding out so make sure that’s still present .
A complete air box is also necessary to run properly .

Link to the OEM seals kit , notice the rubber plug . No carburetor kits come with this plug only OEM .

Thank you! I will give this a try. I have built many carbs myself and this is the first one that has gave me a fit to this extent.
