So I figured out when it died on my brother the main jet some how fell out.... cleaned it and used a shindy rebuilt kit, everything in the carb is set just how it was before as far as idle speed and mixture screw. Don't know much about float adjustments or if I messed that part up at all. I can finally get it to start without using the choke but now it won't stay running without giving it some throttle. Tried speeding up idle and turning mixture screw out a full turn. No dice. Is there anything I'm overlooking? Someone suggested making sure the gas cap is venting. Never would have thought about checking that. Is there something I'm just overlooking? Bike is 100 percent original but in good shape. There is some popping sounds coming from exhaust sometimes which i never noticed before.
