    84 200s Questions!

Hi all. I've got an 84 200s with a handful of issues (or so i think).

    1) Is this an original carburetor? I have looked up OEM used on Ebay and every one of them seems to have a number/code (S/N?) stamped here and mine does not. Fake look alike? The jets also have no markings on them internally. Either the whole thing could be a fake or the body is good and a cheap rebuild kit was used? I know for a fact the float is not OE which tells me a cheap rebuild kit but now i'm curious about the whole entire unit. I cannot get it to run appropriately.

    2) My run issue may stem from what i feel like is an air leak. I used all my brake clean on a wasp nest in my shed so i need to grab more and do the ol spray and pray around the intake while its running. It pops and sputters and sounds awful at idle and i cannot get it to accept any form of throttle no matter where i put the needle clip or adjust fuel screw. The rubber wrap around the intake has a few "cracks" in it. not sure if these look concerning to you seasoned vets.

    3) Any idea what this god awful sound could be? I've checked the timing chain and followed the tensioner adjustment video by d-ray smith on youtube with no luck. The sound seems be coming from the clutch side but i really dont know. It isn't consistent which may be a positive? Compression holds at ~152 https://youtube.com/shorts/v_5lbzWxZeo

That carb looks like a true Kehin. If it is a china copy it is a darn good one.
Does the knock iterations increase with the rpm of the engine? I have never heard an engine with that sound.
I am thinking maybe a timing issue . Possibly something weird with the flywheel key.
Put your butt on the inside fender or end up on the ground!

i've run through the timing a few times. i haven't pulled the flywheel in a while but i'll double check to make sure the key is in one piece. it does seem to increase with rpms though the sound gets swallowed up with how loud it is (or so i believe).
