    Looking good!

I had to replace the right peg as the bracket was all oversized where the lower mount bolt/pedal pivot was... So, I have two restored pegs now ready to go on.

Got the rear grab handle off. The toolbox is refreshed and properly stocked- I added a small air pump and will add a spare spark plug before I call that "done". Being an 86, I'm having trouble identifying the proper (if any) reinforcement brackets for the mount. 85 is different per the fiche, which makes sense since the grab handle is also different. But actual trikes seem to show nothing behind the box (or it's black finish) and the part called for in the fiche is NLA of course.

Forks and handlebars/controls are done but I ended up getting a very nice original switch assembly to replace the very nice China one I reworked... Have to polish the old Maier front fender and slap the decal on it. Finally, replace the brake hose (which I have) and bleed the front. It's currently good but I wanted to replace the hose. Master was replaced with a rebuilt unit because mine was the wrong one (but works just fine). Not expecting any surprises there.

Rear brakes also work but the reservoir is wrong, and the pedal is shot. I have a restored pedal and linkage and a restored original (I may get a new one- still available from Honda) reservoir for the rear brakes.

My rear bearing carrier and axle nut are both aftermarket, so I want to straighten that all out. I have Honda bearings, seals and o-rings on hand when that time comes. But the axle itself is suspect... is there any definitive way to tell it is or is not an 85/86 350X axle?

    Nice work J!m

I tried really hard to save the rear brake caliper but it was too far gone. All the pins were seized up and wouldn’t budge. Said to hell with it a rolled the dice on a Chineseium caliper assembly from eBay. Hopefully it just works.

Looking for headlight electrical harness… if anyone has one kicking around lmk.

I have an 85 switch and some wires... (some assembly required)

I also have a nicely restored 85 rear master, and an 85 caliper I tore down but haven't rebuilt yet. It has been re-tapped where one of the parking brake cover bolts snapped off inside... With a rebuild kit, it should be okay since the piston looks fine, but it's back-burnered as mine is fine. I bought it for the parking brake assembly. Speaking of: I have the screw nut cam bolt and rubber cover (with tiny cracks) also available. These are available new, so I went that way, but these have been glass bead blasted and are good to go.

Some seal info for those seeking them...

The clutch rod (top of the right case) seal is P/N 91204-KK0-003 and it is hit/miss to get. Currently "18-23 days" out on Partzilla, which I read as impending discontinuation...

However, newer bikes use the same size seal. In stock ready to ship (and used in the same location on a newer bike) is 91204-MKY-E81 Plus it's WAY cheaper (like a buck v eight)

Andrew: Let me know if you want my pile of rear caliper. I don't need a lot of money for it...

I replied to your note. Not sure what a fair price is so shoot me an offer.

I have the '85 hangar bracket I blasted and painted silver if you want/need that too.

Hey fellas, I need some advice. I can’t for the life of me get the carb boot to go onto the carb. There’s a good half inch or more that it needs to go. If I force everything together the boot just pops off. That tube had to have shrunk or something.. What can I do?

Pics won’t load…. Hopefully you know what I’m talking about. Thanks guys,

Heat gun , soften it up and pop it on , hold it there until it cools , it should stay then , if not it’s time for a new boot .

Thanks! Managed to get it onto the carb. It was a fight but she’s on and holding. I’ll have to keep an eye on it though for sure.
