Looking good!
I had to replace the right peg as the bracket was all oversized where the lower mount bolt/pedal pivot was... So, I have two restored pegs now ready to go on.
Got the rear grab handle off. The toolbox is refreshed and properly stocked- I added a small air pump and will add a spare spark plug before I call that "done". Being an 86, I'm having trouble identifying the proper (if any) reinforcement brackets for the mount. 85 is different per the fiche, which makes sense since the grab handle is also different. But actual trikes seem to show nothing behind the box (or it's black finish) and the part called for in the fiche is NLA of course.
Forks and handlebars/controls are done but I ended up getting a very nice original switch assembly to replace the very nice China one I reworked... Have to polish the old Maier front fender and slap the decal on it. Finally, replace the brake hose (which I have) and bleed the front. It's currently good but I wanted to replace the hose. Master was replaced with a rebuilt unit because mine was the wrong one (but works just fine). Not expecting any surprises there.
Rear brakes also work but the reservoir is wrong, and the pedal is shot. I have a restored pedal and linkage and a restored original (I may get a new one- still available from Honda) reservoir for the rear brakes.
My rear bearing carrier and axle nut are both aftermarket, so I want to straighten that all out. I have Honda bearings, seals and o-rings on hand when that time comes. But the axle itself is suspect... is there any definitive way to tell it is or is not an 85/86 350X axle?
