KTX Pro Plastics DONT DO IT!
As the title says , if you’re looking for new plastics DONT BUY KTX.
Now the story.
I only bought these cause maier didn’t have white at the time , they were waiting for enough orders and he wanted white so it would match my 350x. (He’s my little buddy and I’m going to take those little wins while he’s young don’t judge! Haha) I’ve since ordered white maiers and they will be here today.
I bought these in February for a rough barn find 200x for my 11 year old son. Shortly after getting them I blew my shoulder out at wrestling practice. Had surgery in May and the past few weeks have been mobile / strong enough to start working on this 200x again. Pulled them out of the box and man they look great but are stiff as a board. Glossy like a new car. Front fender doesn’t fit but just due to the hole being a little to narrow. I could make it work with a dremel. Ok no big deal. The rear fender doesn’t work at all , the fenders flare out so much you can get your feet on the pegs , the right side doesn’t have the notch for the rear brake master cylinder and they missed all kinds of mounting hole. I feel like they are for a different bike altogether.
Now KTX / QK racing is in Texas and they clearly state on eBay it’s a 30 day return / exchange. I called them and sent them pictures wrote an email asking for help. Their response was “can you make them fit” I answered no and told them I would pay a restocking fee / return shipping maybe etc. and they said sorry we can’t except them company policy and have been radio silent since. Cool customer service right ? I’m aware I’m past the 30 days and that’s on me , but these plastics are wrong and that’s on them. I’m out 375$ it is what it is.
Moral of this long winded story is don’t buy KTX plastics. Get maiers or old oem.
Also if anyone wants some used / scuffed up but not cracked red 1984 very rideable 1984 red 200x fenders , I’ve got a tank scoops front and rear fender. In SoCal.
