    Tri z piston exploded

    As the title says. Never had a piston do this before in any bike. Was a pro x piston. I’m really surprised it didn’t gak the cylinder. I’m gonna have to split it apart to clean the pieces probably put my other crank in it now.

    That's not good! Sorry to hear that. I had one let go like that in my R, many, many years ago. I can't remember what brand of piston though. After replacing the OEM piston, I used a Pro-X one time, and the rest have all been Wiseco, so odds are, it was a Wiseco piston.

    That is certainly sub-optimal. Lucky the bore was not destroyed too, or a lock up and break the rod.

    Could have been much worse!
