    86 200x fork swap?

before selling the frame and motor, I stripped the 86 200x for parts i thought might come in handy in the future.
So does the triple tree and forks fit other trikes? ive got a complete running 84 200x and a project 85 350x. Im sure the set up wont fit the 185s. jim

I think you can interchange the triples and put them onto most honda ATC models.
The issue will be the steering stops.
Put your butt on the inside fender or end up on the ground!

There is differences in forks and tripples across the line of ATC's. 200x and 250r are trailing axle, 350x is leading axle, different tube sizes, 3rd gen 250r's have rake built into the tripples, 1rst gen 250r's have ultra wide tripples and tiny fork tubes. I've seen people do some swaps here and there, but it jacks up the steering geometry on most of them.

would the tubes work in a 1st Gen 200x? debating weather its worth hanging on to them or just let them go. ive got a 84 200x, if its a back up for it, ill keep the tubes. jim

The tubes themselves will fit. Second gen tubes are a little longer than the 1st gen. The left fork lower is the same for both 1st and 2nd gen. The right fork lower is different on the second gen.
