    Tecate Jetting Help

My '84 T3 is running rich. It has an aftermarket pipe, 34mm carb, UNI pod air filter. The jetting is 180 main and 30 pilot. Does this sound right. What size jets should I try next?

sounds to me like those jets are way too small. I have posted before that the stock jets are 230 and 45; are you sure you are running rich?? what are your symptoms? white smoke????(coolant) fouling plugs???(rich) sluggish off idle?(lean). I will double check my manual to be sure on the jetting but I think thats correct
The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

The jets are small, but wasn't the stok carb size on an '84 T3 32mm? I have a 34mm. Does that mean I need smaller jets? I dont know. It is sluuggish until I open up the throttle and it cleas up. The motor is like new. My plug is black.

Its a Mikuni. Its stock and is almost identical to the one on my '87. How can I tell for sure if its running rich? I have unburnt fuel coming out the exhaust. What should I do?
