Welcome to 3 Wheeler World! I am in the Alpena Mi. area and a few of us up here are also interested in 3 wheeling restoration and also starting up some kind of atc-atv club. What city are you nearest to?Almost everyday me or a few of my friends come across an old 3 wheeler and I am sure you do to,so let keep in touch and try to help each other out :-D Here is a few pics.

Nice to see some more michigan folks reviving atc's. I wouldn't bother trying to start a resto business for atc's because no one is willing to pay squat for a trike. I've put $5000 into the resto of my R and will be lucky to get $2200 back out of it. Resto is great for a hobby but not a business when it comes to trikes. Just enjoy restoring them for fun.

Believe me, I wish people would pay good money for trikes because I love redoing them and doing custom trikes. But for now, I just try to do them up where they are real head turners and that people enjoy checking them out. I plan on doing a custom 200x or 350x next. I'm sure it will be even nicer than my R is. :-D

You all have some reall nice looking trikes, they really make me do a double take to see all of the detail work you all have into them. Starting out is kinda difficult and wondering if there is a large market for trikes is a worry but if I try it and don't suceed it's better than not tryng at all. I got an e-mail from Howdy yesterday and he wished the best of luck, which was very much appreciated! I have a small clientell and they love what I have done for them and from there its been word of mouth. I am doing 3 ATC 70's right now a 79'a 84'and an 85' and there in the assembly stage rite now.I am planning on debuting them all plus a few others at the Detroit Spring Motoycle Swap Meet at the state fairgrounds April 18th, I believe is the date. Oh the name is Muddogs Motorsports & Restorations.Aside from the restorations I will also have complete trikes that are'nt restored for sale and used parts. Thanks for the support guy's,and if you all have any ideas on what you would do let me know. I wish you the best of luck! The biggest problem I ran into is the cost of oem parts that are mint.....the amount it cost me was more than people were willing to pay. Once in awhile I would run across someone that wasn't worried about the cost, they just wanted it back to the way it was when they got it when they were a kid. I still plan on doing resto's for people, but I do it as more of a hobby because there is just not enough business to call it a business. Definitely post some pics when you are done, can't wait to see some more mint trikes. This is a pic of my R and I only consider this to be GOOD condition, so it gives you an idea of how they look when I say it is MINT.
