it only runs good with choke on. I know which one the idle is what is the other screw on the same side? I want to make sure it is set properly before i take it apart again and put a kit in

Hey, ive rebuilt 2 70 cc engines from honda with the same troubles. You might wanna move to a larger main jet, or move the metering rod up 1 or 2 notches, to fatten it up a little lower in the bottom end (and top too) opening the idle screw alot won't do too much, it might help a little, but it's just gonna mess up your idle. until you fix it, running with the choke on will work fine.

ps, the 2 screws are for the idle only. One adjust the speed of the idle, the other adjusts the mix of the idle. The one near the throttle piston is the speed, and the other the mix.
