Whats your preference and why?
I'm gonna get the Mojave front wheel and put it on my 85 T3 and a 86 front fender as well. I've heard that the tall front tire adds a tippy tendency and takes away from sliding ability. A 23 may be good for trail riding with the extra clearance but the 22 would probably be just as good.

I've always like the 23". The 22" on my old SX always seemed to "push" the logs or rocks more often than rolling over them. You probably wont notice much differenct though. I'd recommend a 24" tire though. (AT489)
