dont bor it. its the worst upgrade you can do. b/c what do you do when it really doe sneed bore and its already at 80? dotn bore it. gearing cam high comp piston exhaust k and n filter bigger carb get better hook up with better tires.
I have an 83 thats bored with 12 to1 compression, supertrap exhaust, K&N, drilled air box, performance piston and its still no that fast like a 250R but its a solid runner with good torque. Its did beat a 2002 Blaster thoguh.
shouldnt be that far behind a 250r.
what kind of fuel do you run form the pump?
o and welcome to the bord :trikesown

They are practically bored to the max, it started out as a 100cc engineOriginally Posted by vartiak15
, boring the 200x out is one of the worst things you could do. Like jason200x said, cam, bigger carb, wiseco piston and a K&N filter is the SMART way of modding your X, save what little bore they do have left for rebuilds. A 350X modded to heck and back would have a hard time keeping up with a good running 85-86R. There is nothing you can do to a 200X that will make it even come close to an R, without a engine swap that is

Perfection consists not in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.
They can still be bored but there aren't any "big bore" kits for it so even if you bore it to the max, you would only be getting a couple of cc's which wouldn't help enough to notice.i bet someone says some bs how they are bored to their max but that is bull. got any pics?

The air cooled ones have the chain on the wrong side, and the liquid cooled ones would require MAJOR modification ..... You would be better off buying the whole R. There really is no conceivable reason to do such a conversion.
