    200x

I would just buy a 350X. Has all the power you need and more. It will keep up with 250R's. I have raced plenty.

We all know the answer to this guys problem...125r plain and simple. :-D
Thats where you put a Cr 125 two-stroke motor into a 200x frame like the old racers did. Makes for a sweet bike.

To be honest your better off selling the 200X and buying something quicker. 250r,t3,or a z. I would recommend a aircooled 250r to start you out so you can get use to the 2 stroke power. I dont think you really wanna dump tons of money in your X so it become more un reliable?[/quote]

what do you mean so it will become more unreliable? they are good trikes.

Why not bore out to MAX? I buy the cylinders off ebay for like $10.0 ea. bore it 2mm over, when it gets worn throw it away and get another one. I believe the 2mm would be noticed with an engine of such meager output. Every bit helps.

This kinda attitude is the reason why the 400 chevy is almost extinct and 350s are getting harder to find. Destroy all the good parts and leave nothing for others.

12:1 piston and a midrange-top end cam with a good exhaust and maybe a new bigger carb should make a world of difference.

I agree with Jason200x, don't bore it unless you need to. Not worth it. You might gain some, but it will only be a little over just doing 12:1 w/std bore. And if you "bore it to the max" it will run hotter due to thinner cylinder walls. You do however need to do the cam. When you do the hi compression piston you will realize a big mid range to top end power increase with a high duration cam.

With exhaust, 12:1 piston, mid-top end cam, maybe port work, and carb/ air cleaner, you should get about a 35-50% power increase. Sound good enough?
86 350X, TC racing 425 (89mm) 12:1 piston, TC mid/top end cam, HD springs, High rev CDI, DG X-Cellerator stage III, Mikuni 36mm VM carb(250 main jet, still working on the idle jet), Airbox lid vents, and uni filter. Should be good for about 33-36HP to the rear wheels.
    GONE! Someone ripped me off!

Well 350Xhauler to tell you the truth a 350X will not even come close to beating or keeping up the an R. For one thing the 250 is 2 stroke and the 350 is 4 stroke big difference there, the 350X is 100 more cc's but the 250R's has 100 less cc but is 2 stroke, big difference there.

250R4life, you have your own version of the story, but considering I have both of the bikes and all of my friends have those bikes, I am pretty sure I know that a 350X will beat a 250R.Peace.
