    83R pipe ?

    Is there any other aftermarket pipe other than DG for a 83R if so could you please list them i was thinkin about gettin a pipe but i wanna see my options before i go with a DG. Thanks

    I think DG is your only option, I see a few aftermarket pipes for them on ebay sometimes. The stock pipe is not bad at all and its spark arrested and quiet. Good Luck!

    Yeah Blazer, you had you stock pipe chromed did u not? Maybe an aftermarket DG silencer would be best for you while keeping the stock pipe. I was gonna reuse my stock pipe but it was pretty dented and the silencer was LARGE and ugly so I have a full DG system. Pretty nice too.

    .... and whats so wrong with DG anyway?. I put their National system on my '82 R and the difference was very impressive.

    i never said there was anything wrong with DG i just wanted to see my options before i went out and got one....on ebay theres a answer silencer are they any good?

    ... that wasn't directed at you actually .... It was a pre-emptive strike at "others" on here who mindlessly bash DG every chance they get.

    i have a cobra pipe, and a DG silencer, and they seem to perform pretty good.
    I'm currently riding:
    1984 honda110
    1982 honda185s
    1986 honda bigRed

    1984 honda 250R-- .80 over, cobra expansion chamber, shaved head, decked cylinder, larger carb., carbon-fiber reeds, 18" carsliles, RK race chain, uni-filter.

    1986 yamaha IT200
    1985 yamaha XT250
    1978 Italie Snark Moped
    and some vintage dirtbike.

    I read someone that people put on the mugen 360 pipes and it makes a huge difference, sudco has them last time I looked. I think $50 or so.

    Try the Paul Turner Hi-Rev if they still make it. I also do not know if it is or was made for your year of 250R. I know it sure made my 250R really scream.
