This is true only while sitting still. Since the CR motor is more powerful and capable of higher speeds and greater acceleration, the dynamic loads once the vehicle is in motion could be much greater.

I think the R's were new but I think your right when you say that the R's were out first. I think we got the small front wheel R for 1 year.

I have a VHS video of him racing his 200x trike, i should get it onto computer so I can share it with you guys. I also have a vid of some Tri-Z's racing as well as the 250R air cooleds... Then you will get to see racing aussie style!

I also have a video of my dad racing his Suzuki 250 quad from about 88. The thing pulls wheelstands out of the gate, literally!! and thats a third gear take off!

MTX is a 200 Yamaha motor if memory serves. The 200R was a debored, destroked version of the 250R.

In one of the posts, above, referring back to the two stokes in the 200x... stating that they were MTX 200r motors??? I have the original articles where the author says that they were 200cc 2 stokes, only available in Japan. They weren't just 250's debored. I was searching for previous models of Hondas, non-import bikes and can’t find reference. Maybe the guy that posted the info about the MTX would offer some more info....

200r motors weren't debored 250 motors, they had different internals also, i cant remember what exactly though. At any rate, they shouldn't have been legal to compete in the 200 class because they weren't production motors, hence why they are so rare and mysterious.

Excuse me, I was talking about the Selvy 200R kit which was a destroked version of the 250 motor. So your saying the 200R made by Honda was a dirtbike motor? Thats lame, guess Honda found a way to get what they wanted.
