Have you tried to run it since? The way you described the problem, it sounded exactly like what they call a mild engine seizure. When this happens they run so hot the piston actually seizes up in the cylinder, but after it cools a little you can crank it over and if you're lucky...start it back up. When you start to ride it after that, the engine is still so hot that it doesn't have any power. It will take a good hour or two for it to cool down back to normal operating temps.

I did this with my 110. I held it wide open for several miles (I still don't know why  ) but anyway it started to lose power, then BAM engine seized and the wheels locked up. It cranked back over and started but I couldn't go above half throttle until I let it set for 2 hours. Then it worked fine.

    Good luck!

Well went out this morning and tore it down (clutch cover). Replaced the rt. crank seal. Only had 1 seal or would have done both. Ran a compresion test and had 185 lbs. Put it all back together and it fired right up. Ran good. Donno what happned but ok right now. I think I gonna put some more break-in time on the motor before I open it up a gain tho.

Well it was so simple of a problem I look all around it and couldn't see it. It was the rr. brakes the whole time. When I pushed the petal it would not return. Finally figured out why. I did not have the roller pin that held the brake linkage to the master cyl, so I put a bolt in it. The bolt was too tight and bound up the linkage. Loosened the bolt and no more probs. Gotta find a roller pin and I am all set. Oh well, live and learn.
