    oil color

    when i changed my oil on my sx the color was a light brown color. What does that mean???
    85 ATC 250sx,Cobra exhaust, uni air filter

    thats how oil is suppose to look like sounds pretty normal to me unless you are talking about the differential oil if that get dirty fast there maybe a seal that needs to be replaced

    If by light brown you mean kinda milky looking, you could have some water in there.

    It was a milky kind of color not that much but it was ran enough in that time it whouldent be that color I dont think. If it is water what are some of the ways it can get in??

    I would be guessing the same way anything else would get into or out of your engine. Intake and exhaust. Or could have a leaky seal or gasket someplace possibly? Not a mechanic here, I just know that on my old Big Red, it took me swimming one time, then decided to stall on me. Water got in the engine. Oil was real milky, and took quite a few liters to flush it.

    first think man dont run it with water in the oil drain the oil pull the spark plug and pull it maybe 15 time with the plug out and make sure all the water spits out of the cylinder then put fresh oil in and that should do it cause 250sx r air cooled so no more water should get in it also make sure there is no gas mixxing in stick trailprotrailpro finger in and smell the oil if there is let us know and ill tell u what to do next
