    200sx motor in a 200s???

    i was wondring if a motor from a honda trx 200sx would fit a honda 200s...

    No it will not, the SX is a shaft drive and the S is a chain drive, a 200x motor will fit into a S frame though.

    The TRX200SX is chain drive. The TRX200 is shaft drive. I dont know if it will fit into a 200s, but the motors are very similar. I assume you are looking at the electric start and reverse as the reason for the switch, otherwise there is little, if anything to be gained.

    Are you sure that the 200sx is chain drive?

    The 200sx quad is chain drive. I think the top end is more like the 86-87 200x then like the 200s.

    the 200sx i have looks like the front mounts are different than my 1985 200x and the exhaust comes out at an angle instead of straight out the front.and i just purchase a top end kit end they are the same as a 86-87 200x
