    Main Jet

I have a 84 tecate and was wondering what size main jet I should run. Another problem I'm having is that every time the bike starts to go up hill it instantly stalls but when back on level ground it starts right up and runs fine untill I head back up hill. I'm at a lost as to what is worng so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know the main jet size. Buy a Clymer manual. Good to have for $20. Check the float level in the carb. Its a good thing to look at when a bike stalls on inclines or downhills, but runs good on level surfaces.

Ok, here are the 84 t-3 carb specs (from Kawi factory manual):
    Main jet: 230
    Pilot Jet: 45
Needle clip position: 4th groove from top
    Float height: 23.8+-1mm

    Hope this helps
