You also might want to check out Monarch Computers at http://www.monarchcomputer.com/

They have a nice budget system here: http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Produ ct_Code=90218
I would recommend upgrading the RAM 512, adding an OS (unless you have one you want to use at home), and extending the warranty to 3 years (only $50 more).

You might also want to check out Systemax. I think that's spelled right. If I were you I wouldn't blow $1,500 on a computer, it just isn't worth it. If you have any interest in building your own (the best option) check out www.amdmb.com, great resource. You might even find someone near you on there who would be glad to build one for you (for a small fee ) .

I had a 133 mhz 64 mb memory computer from '97 when I got cable and it was pretty good for the internet. The reason I went with a 2.0 ghz with 1 gb memory is that I wanted to play around with my new digital camcorder/ premiere. The old one just wouldnt hold even one second of the movie. All I had to do was call the cable co. and they provide the network card to make it work. Its free and I get to keep it if I decide to cancel the service. Not to mention I already have cable in my room but no phone line. Oh, yeah. It seems everyone thats going to call in or out does so when I'm online too so it avoids that problem.
