    is a 86 gas tank the same as a 85 on a 200x

    anyone?
    1985 atc 70 (sold)
    1985 200x dg pipe and k&N filter
    need rear brake caliper for 200x

    I don't think so. The bottom mounts are different. 83-85 tanks had one mount hole,86-87 X's had two. Correct me if im wrong anyone..

    More good news for you (j/k). Noboby makes aftermarket tanks for the 86-87's. Your only source is oem. Used ones usually bring a very high price also.

    I made a 85 plastic tank fit on a 86, it wasn't too hard.
