    i was offered an 86 350x

funny story, i was at cumberland farms the other night at like 11:00 at night getting gas. i had my tri z in the bed of my truck and this guy was asking me all sorts of questions about it. asking how fast it was and stuff like that. he then tells me he has a 86 350x. i ask him if he was interested in selling it and he tells me 600 bucks. he then says he lives two houses over. i take a look at it and it has broken rear fenders, but stitched together, supertrapp exhaust, domed piston and barnett clutch. seat is a ripped, no decals, fork boots gone. it runs and is loud. is it worth it? I am not a 4 stroke kinda guy but am curious about the 4 stroker motors. can anyone offer me some insight into the 350x.

    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks

Dude, go get that thing now. YOu could stand to put $500 into and still sell it easily to get all your money back and then some if you wanted to.

I am using my brain, im seeking information that i dont know. There are many many more people out there that know way more about them and could probably point out a million little things on the machine as far as what is missing, broken or not right. I guess i phrased my question wrong. I am just asking if there are any big things to watch out for. I looked at it in the light and it has a welded up rear caliper holder, and the swingarm bearings are gone. Are these hard to replace on these machines? Can anybody tell me what to look for?
