How many inches should I add to 350x swingarm?

I've tried to do my homework and it appears people are adding 2.75 to 4 inches -- I even read that a someone added 5". I'm going to have a shop modify mine, yet I want to add the right amount.

If it makes a difference in the feedback -- my riding is 50-50 trail and dunes, and I'm 6' & 225 lbs., therefore I'm not going to have any issues popping the front end up. (I've been lifting weights for 18 years)

Has anyone added around 2.75" and regretted it -- wishing they went to 4"?

    Please advise -- thanks!

    350x

I've added 5" to my 350x and its pretty good. If I want it to pop the front end it does. But it handles better I think. We climb some pretty steep hills around here. And without an extended swingarm you would have a reral tough time going up them. Most are not just steep, but rough too.
