    Wheelies

I may sound stupid but i cant figue oput how to pop a wheelie and hold it up. I do it and it just falls right back down i have a tri-moto so the engine is more set in the back so its not that hard but how do i keep it up :?:

I usually just go fairly slow unless Im going to do 4th gear wheelies on the 350x. I stand up pull back and punch it. Once I find that balance point I can go forever. For you I would say all you have to do is find that balance point and keep riding the throttle, it may be hard for you but Im not sure how the throttle response is on that machine.

I do wheelies on my 200x usually in 2nd gear. The easiest way I found to get it up and keep it up is to get on one knee while riding and jerk up. Most of your weight is back further so its much easier. A little dangerous though if you have a powerful trike I would think.

well if your just startin out, put one foot onto the grab bar, with your knee on the seat, then just leave your left foot on the foot peg, ( so you can shift), then just lean back, gas it, the front wheel should loft easily, then with some good shifting and balance you should be able to go for a while.

    With my SX:
I am in first gear, and as I give it some throttle, I put all my weight on the back wheels by 'pulling' on the handlebars, like I would want to wheelie a bicycle. When you'll find your balance point, it will become easy.
    Go big or go home!!

I can bang good long wheelies in 2nd on my 185, and ever better, farther and faster in 3rd. i used to put my leg on the seat, but after you get good at it, you can do it sitting down, especially with a yamahaha, because the engine is farther back. beginner's tend to scuff up the rack a bit  unless the trailer hitch sticks out farther, mine did, but now it's bent
    Caution
Do not "POP WHEELIES" and run for any distance with the ATC. The oil capacity is relatively small and the oil will drain out of the oil pump area thus causing loss of oil pressure, resulting in costly engine damage -CLYMER

My moto can pull them in 1st and 2nd fairly well. It's fun to sit down doing wheelies on the 200. :-D leprogle, you pop wheelies even when your avatar says not to? lol

Mr Clymer says not to pop wheelies, but I can't help it, it's too much fun

This is how my nephew taught me how to do it. I have him on video doing a wheelie for about 800 feet on my 185s. The only reason he let off was because there was a stop sign at a main highway. He could have gone further.

One more thing, I forgot to mention. CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE!!!! Make sure both rear tires have exactly the same PSI. This will keep you going nice and straight.
