Sad News...I'm Not Keeping It

I just got a 85 200x i was happy my frist x,but it have engine problems :'(
Nobody seens to have a running engine for it,the shop wants over $400 the fix motor besides other things that needs,so...i guess i won't be riding it :'( ......is going on ebay or here as a rolling chassis,how knows maybe i get a trade.....no x for me...unless the '86 fits into 85 frame ?

what kinda parts do you need, i dont have a complete motor par say, but i have most past you'd need. i dont have any pictures yet, and i'm at college so i wont be able to give a very thorough description, but if you want to keep your trike, i most likely have the stuff you need. but, if you do want to sell it and buy another one, i have one for sale. I live near buffalo but i go to college in Cortland, which is just up 81 so i could meet you somwhere if you want to. hope this helps

What kind of motor problems are you having?

local shop says that theres a rod,bearing & ring issue.
what other motor will fit a 85 frame?

you can use an xr200 or xr200r motor. or like the ld racers you could throw in a cr125 motor i was thinking about that but they are to much. isnt there 200x motors on ebay?? o and the 86 motor wont bolt in. you could make some mods and just use that motor.

a 200S mill will drop in there. Its a pretty common swap.
