    Question 400 EX axle and carrier in ATC250R?

    I am very much lost on this subject. I have been told that a 400EX axle carrier will fit my 86 ATC250R, and I have also been told it won't. I have never put the two side by side to compare, so i don't know. Also the same thing with the 400EX axle. Are they basically the same (axle and/or carrier), or will they not work at all? Could you use a 400EX carrier AND axle together on an 86 ATC250R, or am I stuck with the ATC/Fourtrax 250R stuff as the only option? I don't want to have to modify my swingarm to use the stuff from the 400EX. Has anyone done this or know of anything?

    No, it will not work.Your only option as far as I know is to use ether a 85-86 ATC 250R or a 86-89 TRX 250R carrier and/or axle .

    86 atc 250r
    86-89 trx 250r
    all 400ex

    the 86 and up atc and trx carriers are the same, the 400ex axle will work too,but you have to use the 400ex hubs,and axle lock nuts
