86's have larger diameter forks, 6th gear in the tranny, and a slightly different setup for the radiator overflow.
and air intake, different grind on the piston skirts and one less cooling hole in the front fender

Own both of these, and the 86 just seems more stable. Bigger front forks make a difference.... love them all and wouldn't trade for nothing!
