    Big Red Shifting rough.

Got a question guys when im on flat ground the bike shifts great. However when im going up and down these georgia hills it drags somewhat between gears. Shifts kinda hard. Harder to get from 1st to 2nd etc... Dont get me wrong its not real hard to shift. However it is much stiffer to shift than my SX on the same hills. Do you think the play in the clutch is to tight? I ajusted it last night and so far havent had a chance to run it. What do you guys think?

I searched and found this old thread that relates to mine.

My 85 Red is doing similar things. Not bad, just annoying at times. Sometimes it's difficult to come out of reverse, and go from 1st to 2nd. I've found that it's smoother if I have shift from reverse to neutral with the trike rolling a bit. It's smoother from 1st to 2nd if I shift while letting off of the throttle just a little not completely. I too have tried adjusting the clutch without success.

    Any help is appreciated,

Well I'm actually having a similar problem with my '80 110. I just had the right side cover off and the shift fork, gears, everything looked just fine and actually still looked like new.
My problem is mainly downshifting. It shifts fine going through 3rd, but coming back down and getting back in neutral is kind of a pain. I just got it running pretty much so I haven't rode it a lot. I did have to shift it back in neutral with my hand instead of my foot a few times.
By the way the tranny is in LOW. Haven't had a chance to run it in High.
