    i have a question about 225 DX motor color

    i was cleanin up my DX motor since it have about 1/2 in dirt stacked on it
    i noticed when i was cleaning it has black cranck case cover on right and left sides and top end is black but the 2 middle main cases r silver
    r they supposed to be like that or all black or is it just the year of tike depends on color
    my dads DX is all black motor
    his is 86 and mine is an 84
    ill take a pic
    i have another question
    what is the tock mph for the DX
    heres another question
    how do i clean dirt off the top end water hose doesnt work

    1. You didnt even -ask- a question about the paint..........go reread it.

    2. Stock MPH will never be agreed on for exactly one speed because there are too many variables in the world, but Id say anywher from 50mph to low 50's.

    My 84 dx motor is the same way. As for top speed look for right around 50mph, back in the day it was radared at 49mph in the 3wheeling mag.

    its dirty and its black a hose and degreaser how will i whip it down dry
