    83-85 200x

    (Thae dumbest question is the one never asked)

    hehehe I just got a 85 200x frame +other misc. parts are the 85 parts compatible with 84 what can be used and what cant be used Im interested mainly in the complete front end ,swing arm,skid plates.also interested in what all is compatible from an 85 to a 84
    83 YTM 200,84 200X,,85 350X basket case,86 350X parts trike,86 350Xroller needs top end, 86 250SX,

    Just about everything on an 83-85 200x is interchangeable between years. They're are a few differences in parts but i think they are all still interchangeable. 83 swingarms are different from 84-85 swingarms, but you can still swap them out. Since 83 swingarms are different, I'm not sure if swingarm skids interchange between all year swingarms. My 200x has an 85 frame and gas tank, and a motor and forks from an 84.

    Yeah, Your all good for interchangability. The only thing you DONT want to use (and this is something you seriously dont want..but its a harder to find part anyway), is the 83 200x swingarm. It was of a tube design and inferior in strength to that of the newer design.

    Out standing guys thanx alot ...... me and wife went riding today and the shifter shaft broke on my ytm it was running perfect now I have to break the frikkin case to replace the shaft :evil: im selling it

    To replace the shifter shaft you only need to remove the right side case ( clutch cover ) and a few componets. The shaft goes thru the motor. Not too hard of a fix. I should have a shaft if you interested.

    outstanding Howdy yes I would be interested in the shaft mine broke flush at the seal I have to find my manual, when I first looked at it I was sure I had to break the case .
