the cagiva is a better built machine than the tigers.the cagiva's are also more rare.i paid $1800 for my cagiva and it still needs another $800 worth of motor work to it.but i also did come across some brand new parts for it that are very rare.parts are easier to find for the cagiva but finding whole cagiva's are nearly impossible.i prefer the cagiva over the tiger.i have both so its easy to compare.

I think both are pretty sweet myself. The Cagiva was actually not a 3wheeler to start with, it was a birtbike coversion done by Tricky Dicks as far as I know the Tigers were custom built 3 wheelers except for the Tiger
80 it was a KTM dirtbike conversion. I dont own a cagiva but I do have 4 Tigers

i don't own either, but the Cagiva's are more rare. Do you guys think that it is possible to take a Cagiva dirtbike and convert it into a trike?

The Cagiva frame and motor are the same as the dirtbike. Tank and shrouds seem to be also. Parts are a bear to find tho. I have about given up finding the parts I need. Prolly have to find a whole dirtbike and rob the motor out of it.
    Trikes: Cagiva 200, 85? Tiger 250,(2)84 200x's , (3)86 200x's, 87 200x, (5)85 350x's, (2)86 350x's, (2)85 250r's, 86 Tecate, (3) 85 250sx's Restoring: 83 200x, 86 250sx. Too many utility trikes to list.

same here, I have the same problem with the little Tiger 80, I found a guy in NY on a KTM board that had a complete 86 KTM DirtBike that he was willing to part with because there is no place in his area to ride, the bike looks awsome almost mint. He said he would take $800.00 for it which is a more than a fair price but when he checked into it he said shipping would be $550.00, thats alittle more than I want to invest and I would hate to tear down a mint and rare 80 KTM dirtbike after spending that much on it. I also found another guy out of Germany that sent pics of a complete engine for it but he wanted $1000.00 U.S. plus shipping So im still looking, this 80cc Tiger i've got is in awsome shape and it's killing me that I cant find the engine for it. Anyone find a lead please let me know.
