I have an 86 200x, I just got a really cheap axel for it but it is an 84. Is this going to fit and 86? Please let me know. Oh, what are the issues with using a 85 350x shock on this machine? Will it fit and what mods would need to be done? Looking for a beeffier suspension.

No it will not. 83-85 & 86/87 are -completely- differant machines, inside & out.
As far as the shock thing, this is somethign I researched for a while. It looks like I dont even have the d@mn information I made a while ago with allt he dimensions. With an 85/86 350X shock on an 86/87 200X, all you should need to do it grind down the shock where it goes on the bottom mount (this is only goign by memory) I believe. 350X front & rear suspension on any year 200x is the way to go. 86/87 200X's have allright suspension but its too small & sits WAY too low.

Thanks for the heads up, that really sucks about the axel, I paid 20 bucks for it and 20 bucks for shipping, I should have checked it out. Anyone interested in a axel for earlier year 200x's? :?
