    How did TF04 Turn out.......

TF04 is now in the rear view mirror. It can be summed up in 1 word:
    WOW!!!!!!!

There was so many people that didn't actually sign in ( on the list in the office ) that we can't get a exact count. I do know that 64 people signed the list in the office. I talked to a lot ( if not all ) and would say 20-30 people didn't sign it ( maybe even more ).

We can't get a accurate total from the group picture either. This is because wWhen we took the group picture a bunch of the people were out trying to find the other riders in their group for the picture. Other riders had already left ( they had other commitments ). My best estimate of TF04 Head count would be around 85-95 range. This is a very conservative estimate. I am sure everyone that was there would agree ( we had camp sites EVERY where ).

How was the weather? Good!! We didn't get any rain this year. We had drag races on Friday evening ( about 3 hours worth ). Saturday we had the mx races that was real good ( only 1 crash, and 1 other machine that died ).

Jeswinehart & 452x did a very good job feeding the masses. If you left hungry it was your own fault. There was so much that happened at TF04 I could type all night. I will list a few of the things I seen.
One of the most remarkable things that happened was: ( Short version ) that 2strokepower lost his truck keys. He, Rat, and myself walked the whole area he rode when he lost them and couldn't find them. 2-3 hours later Rat looked one last time and ended up finding them in the wood chips out in the middle of no where ( 1/4 to 1/2 a mile from camp ). If you knew the area you would understand that this was like trying to pick the winning lottery numbers 2 times. Hats off to Rat for this amazing feat.

Hagen presented me with a set of Custom Triple clamps for the Polaris Scrambler. These triple clamps are nothing short of art work. Everyone that seen these was very impressed. Hagen YOU The man!!

mik6 presented me with a suprize. He had a helmet custom hand painted for me. He told me that the helmet was from a bunch of the TF attendee's that wanted to show their appreaciation for me putting all the TrikeFest together. I personally don't feel I did anything to deserve this helmet, I will wear it with pride. THANKS EVERYONE!!!! I Really do Love the helmet.
FYI, My old helmet has been retired from any future road trips ( me wearing it ). I will still use the old one at the shop so I don't get this new one dirty there. Also, I found out after the fact that a bunch of my friends & family around here knew about this. They kept a very good secret ( this is very rare ).

Jeswinehart, recieved the Official TF Chef apron from Anthony. This apron was custom embroidered just for John. Anthony said to say Thanks for the Food!!

Not only did 452x ( and girl friend ) help cook some very good food. he also entertained us with some wonderfull Fireworks. And a lot of them. ew's and ah's could be heard for miles.

86waterpumper has officailly been stripped of his die hard TF camper title. Rumor had it he actually slept in a camper with a blanket. Later on this was proven via a picture. This breaks his tradition of sleeping out and about. Hagen on the other hand slep outside in a sleeping bag for quite a few nights ( if not every night ). He did this via a air matress and sleeping bag. Imagine traveling over 4000 miles to sleep under the stars. WOW!!!! Just for the record he was offered a tent ( but never made it there ).

I think that is enough for now. I will say this: Anyone that missed TF04 missed one heck of a Great time. I have never seen as many trikes in one location in my life. I felt like I was transported back into the early 80's. Our tradition of showing respect to everyone else continues. Pete & Flow has ask us to come back again. They told me they didn't have any problems with the Trikefest attendee's. They are looking forward to seeing everyone at TF05. All TF04 attendee's can be proud!!!

Thanks to Everyone that showed up. You made this TF the greatest one yet. It just keeps getting better year after year!!!

In my honest opinion I think the 350x's had it hands down. I didn't get a count on them but it seemed like just about every camp had at least 1 350x. If I was to give a estimate I would have to say 15-20 350x's was there. This was noticed by a lot of people. The biggest suprize was the lack of 200x's. I think there was only 3 or 4 of them there.

We did learn that a o-ring from a o-ring chain will work to fix a leaking rear brake caliper. We found this out accidentally.

I had the pleasure of attending trikefest for the last two days. i must say that it was one heck of a time. The marshall crew and i were quite impressed with trikefest. as for myself, i thought it was really cool to see a ton of 350Xs but i think the most impressive 350X was a really pimped out black one with chrome everything. it was the most beautiful trike i have ever seen. even though this trikefest has ended, i am already looking forward to next year

That black one has a 452 big bore in it, and yes it was very impressive. He even had his dog Baily watching over it for him. There were a lot of 350x's there. I met a bunch of great people and had a BLAST! As for tri-zJim there is just no stopping him!!! etc.

I can not agree with you more on 452x's 350x. That machine was quite impressive. You could tell Brian has put a lot of work into it. It would be very hard to improve the looks of it.

Trikeaholic's air cooled 250r looked pretty sweet also. The DG head caught a lot of eye's.

It was truely a killer time. I put around 1000 miles on my truck rolling here. Thanks to all that had a hand in it. Special thanks and future thanks for mik6 for assisting in the tecate. The MX trike race was killer, I didnt even want to do it, then I changed my mind, and was well worth it. Oh side note.....CHECK your fuel prior to second race heat!

Nothing like acting young again. TimSr. getting smoked on the ATC70! Haha
Trikeaholic hitting the drags. Oh and thats me on the little jump making a few laps on the MX track.

I made it home around 6AM monday morning.Slept for a few hrs in PA somewhere. My truck started making some pretty wierd noises so I had to finish the ride home at 55mph instead of 80mph.Sounds like the catalytic converter collapsed or something.
Anyways,,,back to TRIKEFEST. The whole weekend was perfect.Thanx to Howdy for getting all of us together again.Have to say THANX to J Swinehart,Brian(452x),and Mrs. B for making some of the best meals I've ever eaten. Thank you Tim Sr for staying behind me in the last MX race.I was ed out from the previous 3 motos and could barely hang on.Also Thanx to Trikeaholic for letting me use his 350x for the MX races,I fell in love with that baby. And last, thanx to everyone for making the weekend a great one for all.The fireworks display was awesome too.
I'd say Hagen needs a longer air mattress and sleeping bag for next yr.I offered him a room in my tent also.

The only downfall to trikefest this year was dodging the millions of secada's(sp) that were flying around.

I counted 60 names on my TRIKEFEST banner but I know there were more there than that.
I'm going to get some sleep, then unpack all the crap in my truck.

Im tired and a little sore, but "WOW!!!" sums it up for me too! Each year they get both bigger and better!
There were several highlights, aside from meeting all the new people and seeing many old friends again, excellent chow by JohnSwinehart and his new apprentices (452X and his Mrs) , and just a wonderful festive atmosphere, and of course, recovery of 2strokepower's keys (Thank God!), and the large non-triking audience the trike MX races drew(that truly promotes trike riding), and the honor of some tight races for me, both by Hunter and his LEM while on my ALT125, and by Cody on my ALT125 against me on his ATC70. We also have a quite a bunch of talented adult MX riders on this site! Hagan finally found a ride that fits him - Mik6's Kaw700. There were two major personal highlights for me. The first was to finally meet a young man that I have always respected greatly, and have been talking with for several years. This, before I got to see first hand that he is also quite a talented rider on three or four wheels. HondaATC, it was truly an honor to meet and ride with you! The other major highlight was to get on the track and have a true nail-biting close MX matchup with my old friend Tri-Z Jim. Before that day, Id never actually seen him run a trike, and before that day, Id never seen a Honda run so fast, but I guess (in Jim's words) it takes a Yamaha rider to do it! In all my years of MXing, Ive never had such a close and tight match, and its a memory Ill always carry as one of my racing higlights. It was a true honor to finish behind such an opponent! Youre right, 4 motos is hard on the body! Did Cody thank for you for the $10 he won from his mom on that one?
I was a real honor that so many people traveled so far to be there. Noteably Dads, from the org site coming all the way from New Hampshire, and HondaATC from FL, a huge representation from NY, and also Tennessee, Mississippi, and please forgive me if I failed to mention others who mnauy have traveled even farther. Of course, once again, Hagan was probably the farthest traveler from Germany.
I would agree that the 350X was probably the most represented machine there, and I too, was surprised by the lack of 200X's. The only matchup we could find to run MX against Eric on his 200X with 185 motor was TimJr's on his E-Ton 90, and I though we'd have a class full of them.
One more highlight for me is that after watching and participating in all the drags on Friday night, we can probably delete the entire "This vs That" forum, because its all trash talk nonsense!!!!! LOL!
My personal thanks to all who participated in the competitions, all with friendly sportsmanship. I have nothing but the greatest respect for each and every one who chose to go out there and experience it instead of talking the trash of an armchair racer. Where you placed is not relevant, and I bow to each of you for having the knads to do it! We also had a guy who happened to be there, but had never heard of 3WW or Trikefest see our sign and enter his 250R and run. I expect he'll appear on the site before long! Thanks especially to those who did the hardest jobs of flagging, starting, and otherwise helping out instead of competing, and to those who filmed or took pictures. Thats the hardest job!
Each Trikefest will be a memory I carry with me long after I stop riding! Thanks to all for a great time yet again. In the words of Mik6, "Can it get any better than this?"

Oh, my aching body! Pulled in here around 3AM, loaded up freaksfix and went to bed. got up at noon. Now I gotta unload me, clean up the scud and go to school at 6PM! I will say that those MX races were tough! I got alot of practicing to do for next year! I had a blast, as usual, it was great to meet everyone I did not meet the last 2 years and show them that I really AM a good guy! LOL
