    Best Pipe For 85 ATC250R?

Hey All!! This is my first post so i hope my question isnt to stupid......I just got a 85 ATC250R in mint shape..It has some work done to the motor and what not,but the last owner put the stock pipe back on..My question is,What pipe would be the best all around? I live on the oregon dunes so i would be riding on the beach most of the time..I was thinking going with a paul turner high rev but for a new one its like 300 bucks..That seems a little extreme for a 20 year old bike..The motor is basically stock other then ported and polished..Any info would be nice!!
    THANKS!!

I agree....these pipes are awesome. I especially love the sound of the Paul Turner.

Welcome to the board! What part of Oregon do you live in? I see in your post you have a Tiger 500? I'd like to see that bike. Check out our group ride down in Florence on the 18th thru 20th. Keep in mind at the dunes you have to watch the dB levels also. http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...ad.php?t=20538

I've got the FMF Fatty on my 85 with a PowerCore Silencer. Even though my bike is not turned correctly, I like the Fatty so far. I'm going to sell the PowerCore (like new -- let me know if intersted) and get a TurbineCore. The TurbineCore has a spark arrester and is 2 Dbs quieter (according to FMF tech).

I have an FMF gold series with a turbine core. I hate the FMF compared to my last pipe. I have one of those no name black pipes, to bad it is totally wore out. It was 10 times better then the FMF as far as I'm concerned. The FMF has tons of torque on the low end probably good for woods riding, but if I wanted torque I would have bought a 350X.

I am wondering the same thing on my 86 250R. I have a aftermarket pipe w/silencer but I cannot fing a tag or stamp or anything on it same goes for the silencer, nothing... So I do not know if I have a descent pipe or not. What is a good pipe for a stock bike and a bike with porting work done too it. Cause I plan on porting but not yet. Maybe if I posted a pic of the pipe someone would know?

know what i find is stupid? half the people who were naming off pipes dont even have a 250r, so how would you know? i think your deciding on image and price... (what is presented the best and cost the most)
Give me no lip and I tell you no lie.
