I called around a few weeks ago to see who all is still even making the 250r pipes, and for whoever is interested, you can still get pipes from DG, and FMF obviously, but also trinity still makes small runs of pipes, as does ct racing. These two pipes are both hand formed cone type pipes. The Paul turner is still available, and some say that the ESR is as well, although on their website they say out of stock till further notice. LRD not too long ago stopped production, and they won't even do one as a custom job. I had a Bill's top end pipe on my old R, and I must say I wasn't as impressed with it as everyone else seems to be. Maybe my bike wasn't built up enough to use it, I didn't have any porting work, just the cr headgasket, and rad valve as I recall. It seemed to have less low end than the stocker, and hardly any midrange either. Now on topend it would pull hard, and had tons of overrev but I think even a top end type pipe should have some pretty good midrange hit. I know killborg has a bill's pipe on his R, maybe he'll chime in too. I think I may try a paul turner hi rev pipe. I love riding woods, but I have a 350x for that, and for the woods I ride, the 250r's rear axle is too wide anyway in stock form even for most places. Those of you that have had Pal turner hi rev pipes, are they all topend, or do they have a good midrange hit as well? They are advertised as having such, and as being a "all around pipe".
