    Water Bufallo????

I was offered 2 70ish Water Bufallos today for free. All I know is that they are a street legal 750 triple, water cooled, 2 stroke!! I am getting 2 complete bikes, and another box of misc parts, plus another parts motor. The 2 complete bikes ran a few years back, both have been stored inside. Any info would help me start this project. Any stories would be cool as well.
I will let this sit in the bike forun and if I get no help I will repost in the open. I think this will be a cool project. Wish me luck.

    THANKS

    buffalo's

Well this is a little more down my alley...The 750's were much better tourer's than racers....Although they should make plenty of power for the casual speeder down the open road....Anyway good luck with the bikes...They are still very popular and parts and tech help should be plentiful....Very nice find...As with all older 2 strokes, keep an eye on those crank seals....Any excess smoking may be a tell tell sign...Kevin

I remember those, now! I kept thinking Water Bufalo, and Suzuki, but had to really dig into the mental archives! Sorry, I cant tell you anything about them, though, other than I do remember they actually existed. Suzuki had a few "different" ideas that made production during that time. I also remember them having some sort of rotary engine on something, I think a 500cc or 550cc.

i have a 75 gt750 completely restored and a 76 i am currently working on. very fun bikes. just watch out on city streets sometimes they get hard to handle. chambers is a must. the power will really come alive. i have ton of parts. let me know if you need anything. oh and watch the crank zseals. those are a pain, you have to totaly dissasemble the motor.

For parts you can try Motocarrea, Pro-Flo, and I think Spec II may be able to help. I have an RD400 and let me tell you they are fun. Its kinda cool when you can almost double your horsepower and still have some reliabliity. I live mine. Watch out around corners when the power comes in....leaned over on one wheel...Yikes!
