air cooled R parts???

will an 83 R rearend fit in a 84 R........ what parts will and wont fit between the two bikes..... thanks

EVERYTHING will fit between the 83/84, the only difference was the rear shock linkage, but it IS interchangeable, the engine from the 81-82 also bolts right into the 83-84

i have an 83 frame with the 84 swinger on it so it will fit

john,,, thanks for the offer buddy.... but my basket case came with one thank god.... i got the trike in 3 boxes, 4 coffee cans, and 1 cooler.... and no the bike didnt come with a cooler of beer,,, it came with a cooler full of parts...lol....

this guy is a real woodchuck,,, he brought me the basket case r and a 200s in the back of his 1981 Camaro,, he had to take off the hatch to fit them i wish i got a pic of it..lol...

Freak... kinda merging posts here, but I got some 83 250R parts with that 82 R I got..... and according to that Auto X article, it says you can use a 185S bottom with a 200X top for the project and I so happen to have a 185 engine here too, so you wouldn't have to part that running 200S. What does that BigRed look like? We had a 82 and 83 new here on the farm when I was a kid....

I'll have to remember to check it out. I got some 200 and 200X heads here too. All from that guy I got the 250R, and all that Yamaha parts from.

As far as 83 R parts.... I have the front forks/fender/tree/hub/rim/tire, swinger/axle, rear fender/seat, handlebars, gastank. Sounds like the rearend that MikefromLI has is in better shape than this one. Bearings are loose and the tabs on the carrier to adjust the chain are barely there.

hey freaks, what do you need rear fenders for? LOL, you got a pair of frankenstiened ones for 5 dollars, LOL, them things were perfect condition , they did come off a 83/84,

i still have some 83/84 parts laying around, forks, bottom end parts, a cut up frame, tripples, other little crap
