1984 ATC 200s Question

Okl i got a 1982 Honda ATC 185s and a 1984 Honda ATC200s. What is the horsepower for both, top speeds, and since i took out the silencers on both how much would that boost horsepower and top speed?

H.p= maybe 12
Top speed=45-50mph


With taking of your mufflers off causes loud noice that end up pissing alot of people off. No boost or added speed is gained.

only way u can inhance the power with muffler is to get a straigt pipe of sum sort. look for a bassani pipe there excelent. big guns arent bad either.

Im pretty sure it made it faster cause before my dad and i took it off we used to race side by side on the road and they both went about the same speed. but when we took the silencer off of the 200s it took off faster and went about 5-maybe 10 mph faster than it did. it did make it louder but i love it cause it sounds like a 4 stroke racing dirt bike, but 2 strokes still are the best

well they both go same spped cause they both have same trans and gearing...the only thing a 200 has on a 185 is power and there isnt much over it...taking the pipe off may increase the power a little but now much...like he said...u just piss people off...i agree with twf...get a straight pipe..same kind he says..there both great

my 185s does 50-60 we clocked it with my bros car at 56 mph...they are nice trikes to have..my sprocket sizes are: front-11 and back-46 i think..so it goes a little faster than stock since they are different

i took the silencer off of mine and put a harley pipe on it. its alot faster now.
