rings or not? 300EX

My 300ex is spitting out oil out of the vent tube (on top of motor).. i was told i probably cracked a ring. i pulled the moto apart and the rings look good. can you look at a ring and tell if its good. i pulled the rings off and they look good. any ideas? thanks

Did you take the piston out fo the jug? There is obviously too much blow-by, due to a bad seal, or a broken ring. When you compress the ring, they should just about touch. Just a reminder though, this is the trike forum! I'm sure more replies will be givin in Quad Central!

With experience its often easy to visibly tell, but you can also measure ring end gap, and ring thickness, but youll need those specifications.
